Don't try too hard to be a comedian but a witty remark can make a whole lot of difference. Kind of suggests to me you've got your wits about you.

I like humour and being light-hearted. I’ve actually recently asked myself that when did life become so serious (might even write about it but then not really wanting to reinforce seriousness 😂) - and then I remember soon after I was bitten! Life should be fun x

No need to confuse respect with lack of humour.
